Smart Soccer Academy was founded in 2005 E.C. by Coach Mohamed Nasir Awol with a mission to nurture the next generation of Ethiopian football talent. Originally named "Redeem the Generation," the academy was rebranded to Smart Soccer Academy in 2014, reflecting its focus on developing intelligent and technical players through positional play.

With over 12 years of coaching experience, Coach Mohamed holds a CAF D license, a first degree in Sports Science, and a second degree in Sports Management. He has also attended numerous international training programs and seminars. Under his guidance, the academy has helped players like Yonas Solomon and Biruk Semu reach the Ethiopian Premier League.

Today, Smart Soccer Academy encompaces 4 coaches and over 50 players, training across five categories: Under-8, Under-10, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17. The academy is currently competing in the prestigious Under-17 MRI competition, providing players with a platform to showcase their talents on a national stage.

As part of MEDA Project , Smart Soccer Academy partners with Sheba tech to revolutionize Ethiopian football through digital innovation. This collaboration ensures that every player at the academy benefits from advanced digital profiles, helping them gain visibility among scouts and teams worldwide. Together, we aim to elevate Ethiopian football to new heights.
